Sheila and I tied the knot on Sunday, 10/10/10 at Lake Lanier Islands!  Small ceremony, just immediate family/maid of honor/best man, everything went as planned, and it couldn't have been more perfect.  Weather was great, everyone we booked showed up on time and did a great job, and all the details were pretty much as we had planned.

A few photos of the rehearsal and wedding day are here:

We couldn't be happier, and we're looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives!

2010 Points #8

Record turnout for E Mod, 8 entries, though one of them, the turbocharged Factory Five, did not make the event.  Two drivers in the D Prepared (Muff/Gorman), my friend Todd w/ his freshly installed turbocharger (black Miata), the fastback supercharged Miata, the stripped out green Miata, and I had a guest co-driver, Deech.  An added bonus, my cousin's oldest son, Cody, is starting at GA Tech, and came out to the event to see what it was all about.

Boiling hot day, late start for various reason, but we still had a great time.  Managed to finish behind the DP and fastback, but ahead of my co-driver, Todd, and the stripped Miata, about what I had expected.  It was nice having someone else drive the car, esp someone whose background is in a similar car.  That I managed to be quicker than him was nice, familiarity with the car's handling and power delivery pays big dividends.

Cody managed to get something like seven or eight rides in a variety of cars, and generally had a great time.

The Allure of the Automobile

Interesting exhibit at The High Museum, only 18 cars, but they were all significant in one way or another, well displayed, and a we chose a time to view it when it wasn't too crowded.  Certainly a weekday would have been better, but there was no problem getting a look at the cars.  No flash photography or tripods, so it was very difficult to shoot, but I did the best I could, results of which are here:

Aston Martin DB4GT

The Tucker is a local car, part of the Cofer Collection, and it was actually driven to the museum.
